Artist Yi-Ting Cheng makes a statement with her “Secret Stash” collection:

We make judgments based mainly on our experiences and what we see. This dependency on visual information can create large blind spots. Thus, usual stereotypes of how we perceive solid, transparency and lighting are employed in this project to play with notions of ‘solid and void’, and ‘true and false’.

That’s all good and intellectual, but all I say is that if you didn’t try to estimate how much weed you could stash in each one, then I’m afraid we can no longer be friends. I love it when art imitates Adam Sandler movies (not to be confused with being “art” or “life”).

It’s been a few months since event planning firm MODALEW celebrated its first anniversary at Tempe’s Aloft hotel. Some might say we took our sweet time putting this video together, but we’re of the opinion that the video couldn’t have dropped at a better time.

See, this Saturday, D. Lewis and his team will celebrate “A Love Supreme” at DISCO Nightclub in Scottsdale (4301 N. Civic Center). As you can tell by the video above, MODALEW brings an amazing array of beautiful and creative people together for one-of-a-kind events. Just as was the case for the anniversary celebration, there’s no cover for anyone in the 21+ crowd, but fashionable attire is an absolute must.

As a matter of fact, the flyer below seems to suggest that the most well-heeled partiers will receive preferential treatment at the bar. So wait, are you saying that there are benefits to being one of the beautiful people at a nightclub? Ohh, now I get it, I’ve been doing it wrong all this time.

The photoshoot featured a range of brands, from The Dome Life to Cloudkicker, 1Two, and of course, Bobby Fresh for a collaborative web project to be unveiled very soon.
